Mogilev City Charity Public Organization was registered in March 1993 by the Department of Justice of Mogilev regional executive committee.

MCP NGO “Otclic” is a non-commercial public non-government organization which work is based on openness and independence.

The mission of the organization is helping children to keep their health; first of all helping children who have suffered from Chernobyl catastrophe and other children with poor health by improving their health both abroad and in Belarus.

A greater part of radioactive precipitation fell on the territory of the Republic of Belarus after the Chernobyl disaster. That influenced the health of Belarusian people, especially children.

After the Chernobyl catastrophe the number of children with poor health

has highly grown in Belarus. Such children are weak physically because of various diseases. That’s why they look sometimes passive.

We live in the city full of chemical enterprises, which pollute the air we use. This pollution affects our health and the health of our children greatly, saying nothing about the consequences of the Chernobyl catastrophe, which damages our nature and lives.

Our goal is to help to widen their outlook, involve them into the cultural life through the rehabilitation help. Excursions, personal contacts with foreign and native children of the same age will widen their knowledge of the world.

Belarusian camps usually take a small number of such children together with healthy ones. They study at separate classes for children who cannot follow the curriculum of the school because of their often illnesses. The children need to change their living conditions. Belarusian society faces a problem of saving Belarusian nation. Until the situation becomes stable, we must take measures; the children need social help.

Our organization tries to send such children abroad to improve their health abroad. Аnnually up to 20 children rest abroad and inside Belarus with our help.

We cannot do more because of lack of financial support. There are about 1000 such children in Mogilev.

We need to find partners and sponsors to organize the process of improving of children’s health. Our task is to help them to become citizens of full value.
